I just love my sandals!!!!
....so many people...friends and strangers are coming up to me to comment on them. Such happy feet I have!
I have a girlfriend also named MONA who thinks it is so cool that I have sandals with her name painted in them!!!! :-)
Keep up the good work! Your creations are marvelous!

Every time I go into a shoe store wearing your shoes, more customers ask about your shoes than buy shoes at the store. They are also a wonderful way to begin a conversation for people that are too shy to begin one themselves, everyone always comments about them.
They are the most comfortable shoes I own besides being such a multipurpose piece of apparel.

I was wearing your painted platform sandals. I was crossing the street in a cross walk and the stopped car honked at me. The woman in the car stuck her head out the window and yelled where’d you get those shoes? I said at Chicago’s 57th Street Art Fair. She was disappointed. I told her 2nd weekend in June every year. You just may have a new customer.
Love your shoes,

“Oh, my God, I love your shoes!”
“What adorable shoes!”
“Now those are some shoes!”
Just can’t remember them all- I just love mine so much- they just make me feel so special and different from the rest of the crowd!

I have always had an affinity for lots of color in my wardrobe. Your shoes have given me the opportunity to show off lots of color in a unique format. It is especially unique for me because I wear a size eleven shoe and often the really cool and funky shoes are not available in size eleven. I purchased my first pair of your shoes shortly after having my second child. I needed a way to spruce up my look. Your shoes offered an easy, fun, way to do so. After purchasing my first pair of your shoes, I got so many compliments on them. They were so comfortable and added so much flair to my attire that I purchased several more. I have flats, heels, flip flops, sandals and would love some boots at this point.
My Mom is now hooked on your shoes as well. She has even more pairs of your shoes than I do. She has even managed to closely match some of your patterns to the exact patterns of certain outfits. One of her favorite pair is her sorority shoes that combine the sorority letters (Delta Sigma Theta) with your usual dots, stripes, etc. She has heels, boots, sandals, slings, purses, etc...

I always get comments when I wear them! Usually its “Those are the cutest boots I have ever seen!”
They inspired my daughter and her friends to have a boot painting party. We spray painted the boots first and then the 6 year olds made their own!

Well, you know FOX41 TV did a close up of my shoes on 9/24, when I was promoting the St. James Court Art Show, as I told them on the air that almost everything I had on, including my shoes, came from the show.

It seems your shoes are interchangeable. I wore one of the shoes I purchased from you and another shoe and no one ever noticed. They thought that was cool.! They're always a conversation piece. Good ice breaker for parties.!

I was out dancing with my friends and my husband one evening and naturally I was wearing your shoes. We were having a great time and I really didn't notice that people were staring at my feet of course one of my friends did. When I turned around a stranger asked me what I had on my feet? I replied these are my Mona shoes, my walking work of art. Thanks for the great shoes I really enjoy them and they really are a conversational piece.

When I saw your boots I thought, oh, god. My daughter said mom you are not going to buy them. That’s all she needed to say. I picked out a really cool pair and wore them home. When I showed them to my sister she said, WHY. I said, why not. They make me happy. They remind me of something I would have worn in high school. Someone even told me they reminded them of PETER MAX. How cool is that. These shoes make me so happy when I wear them. I liked them so much that I bought a pair of sandals. Not only are they cool to wear but they are very comfortable as well.

I was at an art show and several people, in plain, drab dress would make comment on my Mona Shoes. Though they said nothing more, then “nice shoes”, I knew that they found them too wild for their own taste. As I walked through the art fair, I walked by a woman I only know in passing from a local art center. She is one whom I have always admired from afar for her funky clothes, her fun spiky hair and her natural beauty. As we walked past each other, I said “hi”. She smiled, pointed towards my feet and just said, “Mona shoes”?
I knew I loved her style!

I remember the first shoes my husband Jim and I bought from you at the Bay Harbor Art Fair a few years ago. I spotted your booth and of course couldn't resist. Jim, trying to be funny, asked if you had any men's shoes. You said that you did and he ended up buying your boyfriend’s right off his feet! He loves those shoes. He calls them his chick shoes - all the girls love them. We love our shoes!

I was flying to meet college roommates for a ski trip. I was in the Denver Airport riding the tram to another terminal and an older guy said, “Wow, looks at those boots, my daughter would love them.” Thinking his daughter was probably my age...I asked, “And how old is your daughter?” He said, “6” I'm 36 and I absolutely LOVE my boots and my sandals you made me and I'm not 6!!

My fun and funky shoes from Mona have been there for me for pure enjoyment and through some rough times. I had chemo in 2003, and a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction in 2004. At all of my chemo sessions I wore my “happy” shoes and they always perked me up when I looked at them. The other patients receiving chemo also enjoyed my great shoes. I now have a purse to match, and get constant complements from people!! Thanks Mona for your talent and creativity and assisting me in having my own “spirited” look!!

Mona’s shoes created a stir in airports in Italy and England, in particular the security people - pretty serious just smiling all over the place as the shoes made their way thru the scanner. A number of folks wanted to know where they could get them.

I teach a credit course to 1st yr. med students at Northwestern University Medical School. It is called ARTSCONNECT and we bring the med students together with professional artists in dance, drama, drumming, etc. and then have the artists and the med students work with patients at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. It is a way for the students who are very clinically oriented to get in touch with their own creative energy and then connect with patients as “people” through the arts. I wore my “Mona Shoes” to the first session. The students keep a journal after each class and turn it in at the end of the course. A student noted in his last entry... “I could tell this was going to be a great course when I saw what the instructor was wearing and it was! Most informative, creative and enjoyable.”
Thank you, Ms. Mona...for setting the tone

A lady at the River North Rendezvous (an art gallery walk for a local Chicago organization), made me let her try on my shoe for size and took your info to order. (Like she wanted to buy the shoes right off my feet!) People have great reactions and ALWAYS smile when viewing my fun MONA shoes.

These monochromatic pieces are so sophisticated and artsy at the same time. Perfect for older gals like me who want to be funky and cool without looking silly or dressing "too young" for our wrinkled faces and curvy bodies. The army-green sweater I bought is great with jeans for casual wear and fabulous for more dressy occasions with a pair of great black pants. The all-black shirt I bought is so slimming and attractive – perfect for everything from art gallery openings to a movie date to lunch with girlfriends. These are such wonderful basics ... versatile from classy to casual, artsy without being too far out, and one-of-a-kind pieces that are sure to get admiring glances and comments. I LOVE you, Mona! Thank you for making this 61-year-old gal look so fabulous!
Hi, Mona,
I was at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Somerset , NJ this past weekend, and was dumbfounded to come upon a booth filled with stuff that looked very, very much like yours, right down to the swirls and checkerboards, only with muted colors.
I thought you should know.
